Board of Zoning Adjustments (BOZA)
The BOZA consists of five members appointed by City Council, each to five-year terms. Board members must be properly experienced and trained to make qualified decisions about matters relating to building construction.
The board hears appeals from developers, architects and builders whose building permit applications have been denied. BOZA may modify the application of specific zoning requirements and hear appeals to decisions made by the zoning administrator.
The BOZA Variance Application includes the application requirements and review criteria for requests for a variance to a setback requirement.
The Board of Zoning Adjustments meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1777 Broadway. Please see the current agenda page for the most updated information.
